Operation Debt of Gratitude is a 501(c)(3) whose sole mission is to pay off the medical debt for veterans and first responders.

In 2024, veteran-owned apparel brand Born Primitive, founded by former Navy SEAL Bear Handlon, began pledging a portion of their proceeds to the cause.

In its first two years, Operation Debt of Gratitude has paid off over $50 million in medical bills from contributions made by Born Primitive and Black Rifle Coffee Company, impacting over 25,000 Americans. Today, Born Primitive and Black Rifle Coffee Company are proudly in lock step to continue this mission and aim to pay off another $50 million in medical bills in 2026 via company proceeds and private donations.

Operation Debt of Gratitude proudly partners with ForgiveCo, a public benefit corporation, to pay off these medical bills at a 50:1 ratio, meaning that for every dollar sent, $50 worth of medical bills will be paid off.
